The classic 1911 has joined the Red Dot Revolution with the introduction of the new 1911-XSERIES from SIG SAUER. A balance of classic engineering and style with modern upgrades including an ultra-low-profile direct-mount optic capability and XRAY3 Day/Night sights for extreme sight picture visibility. An adjustable flatblade trigger and custom G10 grip panels from LOK Grips takes shooting ergonomics to the next level for exceptional handling and comfort. Outfitted with a railed stainless-steel frame with undercut trigger guard, extended ambidextrous manual safety and slide stop, front and rear XSERIES serrations and a removable metal magwell. A stylized stainless steel slide, unrivaled custom aesthetics, and a serrated checkered front strap bring upgraded features to a timeless platform. Available in two full-size 5-inch options chambered in .45AUTO with 4.25-inch carry models coming Spring 2024 and optic-mounted models coming soon.

The 1911-XFULL ROMEO-X models feature a factory installed ROMEO-X red-dot sight from SIG SAUER Electro-Optics; the optics is crafted from 7075 aircraft-grade aluminum featuring machined anti-reflection grooves on shooter-facing surfaces with distortion-free aspheric glass and a patent-pending Beryllium Copper flexure-arm adjustment system.  The ROMEO-X incorporates a high-efficiency point source red LED emitter with 2 MOA dot / 32 MOA circle reticle, side independent brightness adjustment buttons, 15 brightness settings including night vision settings, and a side-mounted CR1632 battery compartment with a threaded battery cap so the optic does not need to be removed from the pistol for battery changes.  Additionally, the ROMEO-X offers a low deck height for standard-height iron sight co-witness, has a minimum continuous runtime of 20,000 hours at medium brightness setting and utilizes MOTAC™ (Motion Activated Illumination), MAGNETAC™ (Magnetic Activation), and D.A.R.C™ (Dark Adaptive Reticles & Coatings) technologies.

This firearm is equipped with a manual safety.  A manual safety – when engaged – is designed to mechanically prevent the firearm from discharging when the trigger is pressed, either intentionally or unintentionally. You should consider whether a manual safety on a handgun is right for you based on your experience level and intended use, keeping in mind best practices for safe firearms handling. It is possible for the trigger to be unintentionally pressed even under normal handling circumstances.

A manual safety is designed to augment, not replace, safe firearm handling practices. You are responsible to protect against unintentional trigger movement while carrying any firearm. Even if you elect to purchase a pistol equipped with a manual safety, you must ensure that the trigger is not contacted in any circumstance other than when you intend to fire the pistol, particularly if you elect to carry your pistol with a round in the chamber.   If you have a round in the chamber and the trigger is pressed to the rear, the pistol will fire, absent an engaged manual safety.
